it made sense.

I have heard a lot of stuff against PETA too. IMO anything that is done in EXTREME is never good. I support certain aspects of PETA but not everything. I feel that they end up turning a lot of people away in the end. Basically, I am just always cautious when it comes to extreme orginizations.

I'm not saying I don't like them. I do, a lot. I think they go too far sometimes which is why I said I think they are extreme.

Ta far meaning - a recent incident in Boise, Idaho, where two people made out on a sidewalk to support unproven claims that vegans make better lovers -- Cute, I understand what they are trying to get accross but where is the animal welfare in that?and According to ActivistCash.com, PETA spends less than 1 percent of all the money it receives actually attempting to directly help animals.

I love the vulgar ads PETA puts out and the fact they are trying to inform people of the horrific side of the food industry. But I'm just saying to be cautious, thats all.

oh ok, i get you.

i meant they're not extreme with the animal welfare because it's a pretty comfortable topic for most people: ie happy meat.
the abolition of the food animal industry all together.. is what i'd call extreme. PETA may secretly hope for it, but they spend a lot of time working with fuckers like McDonalds for "more humane" slaughter. that's not extreme at all.

but every movement needs groups on the whole spectrum from soft groups like the Humane Society to hard groups like the ALF. they all have different functions, work from different sides.. all of which are essential in the movement.
