And here I was just fretting over whether I was too mean because I was denying cake to my son (vegetarian, not vegan) after he ate a treat at a friend's without asking. Maybe I should just let him have the cake. (Except I can't. I can't go back on my decision. Argh, parenting is so fun somedays.)
