Bit of a relationship dilemma...
This is probably going to stir up more trouble than answer, but I thought I'd pose the situation anyway:
I've recently started seeing this omni guy: he's a bit of a control freak and was absolutely floored when I explained my lifestyle to him. He got all offended and started telling me that it was like I was a Christian telling him about the word of God--he's atheist, so he was really offended.
Control issues aside, I was hoping you guys could help me come up with a rebuttal to this metaphor. I definitely wasn't preaching to him or anything, but he still thinks that by even feeling the way I do about animals and the environment and trying to explain them to someone, I am evangelizing.
And just so you guys don't jump all over his case, hehe, he's a really sweet guy and this is absolutely the only point of contention we've come up against in our soul-bearing conversations.
