30 Days on FX

Next 30 Days (June 17 on FX) looks pretty cool:

My only gripe is that the "vegan animal rights" family he moves in with is like, super PETA. The woman WORKS for PETA.

I hope this doesn't make us look wimpy.

other trailer/how I know they're with PETA )

ALSO: Is PETA against pets? What if you rescue an animal from a kill shelter? Would they rather the animal die and be processed into pet food or what?

PETA does take animals from kill (and no-kill) shelters and euthanize them. From my understanding, their philosophy is basically "better they die peacefully than run the risk of being adopted to an abusive family."

#1 reason PETA sucks, IMO

That's totally ridiculous. What right do they have to do that?

Weird. I'd never heard of that.

There's a pretty good wikipedia write up.

I thought it was an incident of some PETA people in a van killing like 10 of them and getting caught! Agh. This makes me hate PETA2 soo so much more.

I'm not sure how much I really buy that website, though. It's put out by the center for consumer freedom, which has strong ties to the animal slaughter industry.

No kidding? I've seen it passed around pretty widely.

Me too, and I'm not the biggest fan of peta, trust me... but I don't know if I can completely buy that they're as evil as that site makes them appear because of the CCF's interests.

well, but they haven't made any of this up either. yes, their motives are more than questionable, but you can find these sources elsewhere (that's why I usually don't link to the website directly when I actually go into peta arguments...)

exactly - from what I've heard CCF's *numbers* when referring to PETA killings are spot-on, as they got those numbers directly from PETA's own paperwork.

have you seen Your Mommy Kills Animals? the guy from CCF that they interview throughout the movie is SUCH A DOUCHE
