I'm visiting my parents for the week and my Dad, attempting to offload some of his old things he doesn't use, offered me his old SLR camera as he switched to digital - smaller and cheaper. Knowing that there are little or no vegan alternatives for film I said I would gladly accept it only if he had no one else in mind to give it to. I would much ( Read more... )

Actually, I wouldn't mind being restricted to black and white. I probably would have stayed primarily with it anyway.

looked through six months' of entries and couldn't find a post referencing film, except for one about going to see movies. It wasn't tagged, either, sadly. Do you happen to have a link?

I also checked Ilford sites. They only seem to promote their photographic paper in detail and neglect to even mention their film. Perhaps I'm looking at the wrong site.

I was looking for the word 'film' rather than 'photography'.

Thank you =)

I've just emailed ILFORD and I'll post back here once I get a reply with what I've found out. I just thought I'd check for myself and find out exactly which products are suitable and whether their production processes are consistent all over the world.

I just got a reply and posted it in a new entry.  Apparently, none of their products are vegan.

I am a little suspicious when I had heard otherwise, but I guess there's no real reason to think they'd be lying to me or have their own information wrong.
