Happy vegan life . . . .

Weird. To the extent that I don't really understand... but I like the word "gimoke" (although I have no idea what it means).

well, as far as gimoke (I have no idea how to spell it jah-moke) my Italian family uses it sometimes, interchangeably with 'schmuck.' :-P

"You mean I have been eating vegan things for years without even knowing it?!"

That is so cute.

On a side note, during my PMS attack at the grocery last night I had the brilliant idea to buy chocolate Soy Dream and crush a candy cane over it. So good, and very xmas-ish.

I think people just tend to be scared of the word vegan, which is nonsensical especially if they agree with its ideals. Lately I've been resenting that "vegetarian" has come to mean excluding animal flesh from the diet, when it should refer to an herbivorous diet comprised of... vegetation! So now "vegetarians" are more accepted than us extremist vegans. Makes no sense!

The happy vegan life segment is really, really sweet. I love when people realize they consume vegan items *everyday* and don't even think about it, hehe. It's also really awesome when someone who has previously hassled your veganism reaches out and makes you feel welcome.
