If anyone can offer some advice for me, however simple, it would be greatly appreciated.
I suppose I should start by saying that I went to the doctor, and upon receiving the results of my blood test my doctor told me my protein was low.
I've been feeling weak and dizzy for several months. I'm never full; when I eat, I'm hungry an hour or so later. I crave carbs like no tomorrow, but try to avoid eating too many (though I still eat them, of course). I just feel generally down, to the point where sometimes I stay in all day, because I just don't have the energy. It's quite severe.
I even considered eating meat again, but once it was in front of me, I simply couldn't do it. I felt ill just looking at it after 6 years of vegetarianism and some odd years of veganism, and I realized it simply isn't an option.
So, what can I do to increase my protein? Is there anything that will give me more energy and help fill my stomach? Black beans aren't helping, protein powder every morning isn't helping, tofu isn't helping - even when I eat all of these things in one day.
