Hey everyone! I wanted to post something exciting -- if this isn't allowed, I apologize and I'll get rid of the post.
I know that some people here aren't really Peta fans, but then again, we are all pretty much anti fur so I thought I'd share this with you guys/gals. If you aren't into Second Life yet, the only thing I can compare it to is a visual internet where you can meet people in the form of the sim they have created. The money system can even be converted into real money, and a lot of companies advertise on Second Life because not only can they make money, but they can spread the word! So, in my case, I just attended my first virtual anti-fur protest.
Who knows if anyone who isn't aware of the fur industries horrors will even be there, but the idea itself is awesome imo. Pamela Anderson even has her own sim character there and will get naked at some point for the cause (so I've heard :-P ).
If you are already a Second Life veteran -- there is a Linda McCartney vegan burger stand, free bicycles, roller skates and protest signs complete with protest HUD. I've attached some pictures of my character,
in action! Also, I found this advertisement pretty cute:
I apologize to those who don't care too much for Peta -- I just wanted to share for those who do!
