People who say that it's impossible for them to have a vegetarian diet because it's too expensive get on my nerves. I'm sorry.
As far as I know (from reading veganpeople and just living), if you know how to cook, a veg*an diet can cost as much, more, or less than an omnivore diet.
And to me, if it costs a little more to save the lives of animals, then I am absolutely okay with that.
When I went vegan I was in school, living with my grandpa, and working a maximum of 8 days a month. He makes me pay for all my own food myself and I managed. Not to mention the fact that I knew it would cause us a lot of problems if I went vegan, because he's old-fashioned and doesn't and will doubtedly ever understand. But I went vegan anyway.
Sorry. Just ranting. If you think I'm wrong let me know because I'm speaking from my own experience and the experience of friends, and I want to be well informed.
A side note: I'm not talking about people who live in countries where it actually IS very difficult to be vegan.
