I know this may not be the best place to ask, but I thought it might be a place to start. I had a stomach illness last fall, the source of which was never determined. The illness lasted for two months, and cost me a lot of money in doctor bills. When I first got sick, it was right after I visited a friend who had just moved to Florida.
I returned from my 2nd visit with the same friend yesterday, and I have the exact same symptoms I did in the fall. I started thinking about foods I ate while I was there, and the only thing I can come up with is some locally made tempeh I bought. I snacked on some of it raw (both visits) because it was already cut into bite-size pieces. Does anyone know if raw tempeh can make you sick? Or if there's any illness particular to tempeh-eating? I know it's made with a mold, but the mold itself won't make you ill.
I'd appreciate any help. Google wasn't able to tell me anything useful, and I don't want to spend more money on round after round of doctor visits if I can pinpoint a possible source.
