Here is a pic I took at the sanctuary of our youngest pig, Owen (5 months) with our oldest pig Bruce (9 years). Owen has taken to grooming all the older pigs. He spent a good five minutes grooming Bruce's face. It was pretty damn precious.

Ha, "silent" is not a word that comes to mind very often when I think of pigs.

Maybe Owen will teach Bruce to how to grunty grunt and sing to the moon! And just when you thought he/they couldn't get any cuter....

I think Bruce is smiling in that picture. I would certainly smile if Owen was grooming me with his pink nose of doom!

I had to add the "loud and ornery part" because you're right - piggies are a talkative bunch... :)

Bruce has a cute mini-grunt. Most of the time, he's silent, and he always manages to elicit a squeak out of me when he nudges me from behind. :)

Smiling pigs are love! Piglets with pink noses of doom are even MORE love! :)

Pigs were one of the first animals I noticed that smile.

...big, goofy, painfully CUTE smiles...with noses of dooooom.
