EDIT: I have had a lot of very negative responses to this post. I am not one to just efface entries just because of conflict, although I do like to avoid friction as much as possible. I guess because this is an internet setting and you don't actually know me, my comment on the vegetarian eggs actually seemed to stir a few of you up ( Read more... )

whoah whoah, kinda insulting. i was a vegetarian before going vegan, which i think a lot of people do. it didn't take me a "long time", to go vegan. and it's not like vegetarians are stupid, i think everyone knows exactly what eggs are.

i was vegetarian before going vegan, and omni before that, as that's how i was raised. i just mean to say that a lot of people go decades being solely vegetarians, which doesn't take much effect on the world or their health.

i'm not humorless, this just wasn't funny to me. it was obvious that they were saying the chickens were fed vegetarian feed (which they should be, so that's cool!!)

i just really hate when vegans look down on vegetarians as not doing enough or something, which you have clearly stated that that's what you think. that's why i think you're on a vegan high horse.

in my opinion, we as vegans should embrace those who are vegetarian, because honestly, eventually, they'll probably go vegan. it's a natural progression to make that switch eventually. even if they NEVER go vegan, oh well. going vegan is a PERSONAL CHOICE, and who are we to decide if people's choices are "enough". all you can do is live your own life.
