cookbooks!

my aunt drew my name in the christmas gift exchange thing our family does every year. she asked me what i wanted and the only thing i really need/want are cookbooks. i recently bought VwaV and love it. however, i live in a really small town in Nebraska so i have NO access to bookstores and i have a list of books i'd like, but, other than the title and the few inside peek pages on amazon i have no idea if the recipes are really feasible and/or realistic for a 20 something on somewhat of a budget.

basically, i was just wondering what cookbooks, if any, are used regularly and what you all would suggest.
