According to this link (http://www.caringconsumer.com/pdfs/companiesDontTest.pdf) someone posted a little bit ago, Abercrombie & Fitch doesn't do animal testing. It doesn't list Hollister, but since it's a division of A&F, I would think the A&F listing covers all its subsidiaries.

Yeah, but unless they're certified by Leaping Bunny, the only thing you can be certain of is the fact that no animal testing was done on the final product. Most animal testing is done on product ingredients, and a product that claims "no animal testing" can still be sourcing their ingredients from inhumane suppliers. It's a pretty worthless label.

Cool. :) I always find myself pulling the little booklet out whenever I'm shopping.

How badly do you need to work these 30 days? Are two paychecks worth compromising your morals?

However, if you really do need the money (and more clothes to wear), I'd say it isn't a big deal. You do what you have to do. It's not just animals that get hurt by clothing chains like Hollister anyway.

well, i really need the money considering i am trying to move with in the month and i have about 200 bucks to my name. I could do some work from the inside. like slipping pamphlets about veganism and sweatshop labor in the bags of customers

Yeah, seriously, do what you have to do. Just be "as vegan as you can." Most teenagers and college students can't afford to buy organic or even flat-out vegan all the time anyway. And this is okay. Don't sweat it - you really haven't compromised anything.

Do you think that would get you introuble though?
But maybe that doesn't matter, I'm just sayin'.

And hey, I haven't seen or talked to you in a long time.

Something you may wish to consider that isn't really vegan-related: I've heard that Hollister gives very few hours to their employees. I do not know from experience, but this is just what I've heard. So, if you're in desperate need of money, I'm not sure how much you'll be able to get out of them ( ... )

im in the same boat as you are; im only working three hours a week for a co-op (which doesnt cut it!) but need to save up some money because im moving in a few months as well. it sucks that we have to compromise our morals and be a slave to some shitty corporation where not only animals but humyns are treated like shit. i know its rough (ive got $40 to my name), but i had a friend that worked at the gap and would rip off the company as much as she possibly could and she was only temporary as well...just be VERY careful.
stuffing vegan outreach stuff into peoples bags might be nice too, or slipping homemade fliers about how much sweatshops suck into the pockets of jeans and into folded t-shirts when no ones looking.
