help veganizing a recipe?
So I used to live in New York City...and my friends and I had a tradition that every winter we'd go to this restaurant, Serendipity's, and get their frozen hot chocolate. They are FAMOUS for that stuff, it's quite possibly the best desert I've ever had.
But, since I have gone vegan, I obviously can't go there to partake anymore. I was searching online and found a recipe HERE for their frozen hot chocolate..and was wondering if it's possible to veganize it? I know I could probably substitute the milk, whipped cream and chocolate for vegan versions but I was wondering if anyone has attempted veganizing this and has had success? I'm not totally sure if it will come out tasting good... It also says you need storebought hot chocolate mix, is there a vegan version of it you can get? I haven't seen any in the area I live now. Thanks for any help!
