this is a more positive post
Dear Chad & Emiko,
i'm not expecting a response to this, but i felt the need to contact you after having a good talk with our mutual friend ben yesterday.
i still disagree with the idea of the shirt, but i've also been shown that the way i went about things did nothing to promote the cause of veganism--only to hinder it with inner bickering and division.
the original way i went about expressing my objections to the shirt should have been much better.

Hey Ryan.
Ok, truce called. Ben should work for the UN.
This entire thing could've been handled better, on both sides.
Emiko is a spit-fire and we get shit all the time from people over
our store, and the way we run things. Factoring that into the
situation might help you understand how pissed we got. Sometimes it
really gets old, ya know?
I think the internet can be a toilet bowl, and things like message
boards just lend themselves to this kind of thing. Uggh. I guess it
just comes with the territory and living in the times we do. Easier
to post online than actually engage in real life.
Anyway, thanks for writing and take care.
chad
i can admit when i'm wrong. i don't think it's wrong to disagree with the shirt, but i should apologize for the way i handled myself. i have my good friend ben from portland to thank for that. he lives down the street from food fight and my less-than-perfect actions brought some backlash. i guess i just needed to remember what ben eventually said to me, "disagreeing is fine, but the manner in which you do it is important. a vegan house divided against itself cannot stand."
this is why the earlier posts are gone, if you're wondering.
