i'm not a terribly social person, and when i became vegan 5 years ago it was really easy most of the time because i had friends who were vegan (they've since gone back to being omni) and i didn't go out very often ( Read more... )

i have the exact same problem! i was hardly ever home, and had absolutely no money. so eating at home would always be a problem, and id eat bread or something with whey in it.
anyway. i digress.
red robins has a boca burger option on their menu, i believe. you just need to specify that you dont want mayonaise on the burger. theyre delicious. make sure that you tell them you want the boca substitute, though, or else theyll put a gardenburger on there.

uhm. the boca burger is. it says specifically "vegan" on the package. the gardenburger is not. it has cheese in it, and says so on the menu. maybe only certain resturaunts do the boca burger...

There's more than one kind of boca burger. Some are vegan, some are not.

I was told the same thing as well... which I think it a pretty big bummer! It's great that they have two veggie burgers, but I wish one was vegan (at least).

i meant in correction to my original comment. i said "eating at home was a problem" when i meant eating at a friends house was a problem.
