Hello friends!
I have looked up some information on this, and can't seem to find much. Basically, all I want are some simple suggestions from people who have been there before, and this community is good at that.
I have been vegan for about 10 months now, and my first 9 or so were spend frantically dealing with school and not exercising much. Now that is it is nice outside, I have started running about three or four times a week. I have never been a runner, but it feels so much better now than it ever did! However, yesterday, I went a bit longer than usual (four miles) and proceeded to come home and feel very sick.
I don't know how to explain it, but for the past few days I have felt like I am missing something. I feel insatiably hungry, but at the same time kind of queasy. I, stupidly, do not regularly take a multi-vitamin and my boyfriend suggested that I may be missing some vitamin that I am not watching closely enough. I eat extremely healthfully, almost all whole foods and pretty much all whole grains (with the occaisional misgivings of fried tofu from restaurants, but no one is perfect). So, in short, I am not sure why I am feeling this way. I was wondering if any of you vegans started exercising somewhat intensely AFTER you went vegan and experienced similar issues.
Sorry for the long post!
