it's interesting you mentioned enviromission. i'm a (very minor) shareholder, and i was so disappointed to find out they're not doing the big 200MW 1km high tower, but are going to start with a smaller 50mWatt one. it would have been so cool!

Treehugger.com is a good one. Sometimes the subjects they cover are a little too Yuppie for me, but the conversations are always enlightening, and they are really on top of current news.
