If there is a song that makes me feel like I'm flying in an awesome spaceship over a beautiful lit-up alien city at night on my way to get drunk on alien-wine and make out with hot aliens, more than "Flugufrelsarinn" by Sigur Ros does, I'd like to hear it ( Read more... )

I am breaking the 'comment barrier' so that other people will comment. Also, people get that I am not really being serious about everyone hating me and wanted to talk about SNL products, right? I'm thinking yes.

Journey's alright. Though I like the album covers more than the music. When it comes to bands that people pretend to pretend to like I enjoy Fleetwood Mac much much more. Rhiaaaaaaaaaaanon. Good song.

I don't know, I could never get into Fleetwood Mac for some reason. I equate them with Steely Dan. Something about them just doesn't kindle my spindle.

Kansas and Journey are the most you're gonna get out of me. Sorry, pal. Better luck next time.

kansas sucks. kansas is a crock of shit boiled in a cauldron of live rats.

i went to high school with the replacement bassist's son, and that kid was three tools and a hork all stuffed into one chunky douche. he and his dad played "dust in the wind" together for our school's variety show our junior year.

i can't understand why people don't just buck up and say they like journey, though. i have no shame when i listen to don't stop believin' as loud as i can. windows down? red light? who the fuck cares, that just means other people are gonna enjoy the moment with me.
also, when i say i like journey, i mean i like don't stop believin. did they record anything else?

Yeah, I was thinking I probably sort of meant I like "Don't Stop Believing" too. But my best friend from home, im_all_powerup, is the go-to guy for Journey songs other than "Don't Stop Believing." A few years ago he sent me some of their instrumental/ambient type stuff (yeah, you read right) and it was pretty good. Very dramatic. One of the songs was called "Battle for Heaven." I think I may still have it on my computer.

P.S. Take back what you said about Kansas. If I were the son of the replacement bassist for Kansas, you can fucking bet we'd play "Dust in the Wind" for the talent show too. And for an encore we'd do "Carry on my Wayward Son." And after that we'd have no more songs to play.

Hey, what the hell is wrong with Steely Dan?

Nothing objectively, I just can't get into them at all.

Fleetwood Mac is too cool for you. Also, they rock MUCH harder than Steely Dan.
