So a lot of people keep talking about this "The Grey Album," by DJ Danger Mouse, in which he took the vocals from Jay-Z's "The Black Album" and samples from the Beatles' self-titled, popularly called "The White Album," and made an album.
I've always kind of wanted to do something like that. Like take the vocals from Jay-Z's black album and combine it with samples from Metallica's The Black Album and The Damned's Black Album, to make The Blackest Album, or The Black Album³. But anything that includes Metallica and isn't a list of people to execute, makes me sad.
Another good idea would be this: Take the vocals from Mos Def and Talib Kweli's "Black Star" and lay them over samples by the bands Big Star and Big Black. Call it Big Black Star.
You could also take Weezer's Green Album and Blue Album and make The Turquoise Album.
