Finally! I found a North African store that sells tahini in abundance. Looky here. =D
In combination with Alicia Simpson's "Quick and Easy Vegan Comfort Food" cookbook which arrived in the mail yesterday, my new favorite replacement for hot choc was born: Her easy-peasy Tahini "Coffee":
Tahini "Coffee" (By Alicia C. Simpson) :
1 cup plant milk of your choosing
1 tbsp. tahini
1 tbsp. unsulphured molasses
Whisk together the ingredients and warm up over medium heat until it reaches a gentle boil. When it is hot enough for you, pour it into a mug. Sprinkle a bit of nutmeg on top. Feast.
This also works ice-cold: Just combine the ingredients in a small bowl and pour it all over some ice cubes.
