I was gifted a rather exciting quantity of real organic vanilla beans for the holidays this year. I've got many ideas for all sorts of exciting stuff to do with them sweets-wise, but I've got enough that I feel like I can get creative and try something savory.
I remember a recipe I saw on a cooking blog once for a veganized version of scallops in a vanilla cream sauce. I think it had coconut milk and super-firm tofu. I, of course, can't find the blog, or the recipe now, but I think I can fake it based on the omni versions I have found.
What else can I do with this treasure?
