Veganizing Friendly's Cheese BurgerMelt

I'm a healthy eater, but sometimes I'll engage in a project such as veganizing a Swedish Princess Cake for a friend's birthday or helping out veganizing blood pudding. This time, I veganized Friendly's Cheese BurgerMelt (warning not vegan) for my roommate. For those who don't know what it is, it's a burger that has two grilled cheese sandwiches as buns and is supposedly three times the calories, fat, and sodium of the KFC Doubledown(also non-vegan warning). Ewwwwww.

For the burger I used the recipe recommended to me by blueheron here, although I did sub out the tofu for some brown lentils (maybe a cup and added some water because it wasn't mushy). Oh and I didn't have any ketchup so I threw some tomato paste, champagne vinegar, and agave nectar in there.

I used purchased white bread, Daiya, and Earth Balance (yes, it's evil) for the grilled cheese part.

Toppings were the traditional lettuce and tomato plus some caramelized onions and a mushroom gravy (approximate ingredients list: onions, garlic, mushrooms, flour, soy sauce, balsamic vinegar, vegan Worcester sauce, liquid smoke, sweet soy sauce, bullion cube, sage).

It really didn't look vegan when he was eating it and I can say that I never will make this again, but my roommate said it was excellent.
