I was just about to come and say that I haven't seen rude anonymous comments, when my bf yelled "NO! POST AN ANONYMOUS COMMENT WITH 'FUCK YOU, FUCKER!" :p

I haven't really noticed any anonymous comments in here over the years. Or maybe I have, but they weren't noteworthy (I'm not really going to remember if someone says "Try adding cinnamon for a lovely depth of flavour"). I assume I would remember if an anonymous jerk decided to be inflammatory.

So, I don't see it as that much of a problem. If we can't really screen anonymous comments, I think we should just let them be. If anything is nasty, then one of the mods can catch it, or someone can alert us to the problem, and it can be dealt with.

If we get an influx of nasty or spammy anon comments, then we could rethink it. But for now I think keep it open and as is.

I don't know that that is particularly an accurate result.
There wasn't a "huh? I hadn't even noticed anonymous comments" option in the poll, so I didn't select any of the options. Perhaps other people had the same thought.
