Cookie Suggestions?

Dec 13, 2008 08:20

Hi everyone, I'm making Christmas cookies for people at work this year. I have "The Joy of Vegan Baking", "Veganomicon", and "Sinfully Vegan", and probably every other vegan cookbook you can think of. I don't make cookies very often (because I'll eat them all :p), so does anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks :)

i really really like the chcolate walnut cookies from veganomicon. they're flavorful, and soft. mmmmmm.

and if you can find white chocolate chips (liebers, oppenheimer and vegansweets are the vegan brands i know about) they're a really nice addition and look really nice in them.

I love the rumnog cookies from Veganomicon. They do get a little dry, though, so up the liquid a bit.

Also, check the tags in this community - there are multiple tags for different varieties of cookies, and many wonderful recipes to be found!!

What is this "rumnog" of which you speak?

If I remember correctly, it's just that the recipe calls for rum and for soymilk. so it's more like rum *pause* nog. :)

Oh wow, I can't imagine how those would taste. I'm really curious and I'll have to try them. If not for Christmas then for another event.

The icing is very tangy with all the lime juice. The cookie itself has a nice spicy taste, I added the tsp of ginger and cinnamon to mine. Personally I would cut the lime juice with water to tone down the tartness. So easy to make though.
