(no subject)
today i was more or less attacked by my env. science teacher (who hunts). he basically made the lesson plan based around my belief that hunting is wrong. our class isn't very big (thankfully), but it was basically 12 people against me. he asked me if i was religious and i told him i'm not. his defense with that is that most "bunny huggers" are not very religous and therefore don't read the bible and understand that God put animals on this earth for us to eat. my religion has nothing to do with my choice to be a vegetarian. also, he said its not "natural" to be vegetarian. i have never gone up to my teacher and told him that "he should not hunt!" i would never do that. i understand and respect his choice to hunt. i wish he would do the same for my choice to be a vegetarian. in a way i am quite scared to go to env. science tomorrow. i don't want to be attacked yet again. *sigh* in fact one girl even refused to believe that i am vegetarian. i just wanted to let that out. i figured this would be a good place...even tho this is not a vegetarian community.
