Tofu-stuffed shells

So, I'm thinking that I want to make tofu-stuffed shells for my host-family that eats A LOT of meat. I'm currently an exchange student and we are supposed to make a meal for our host familiesand I thought this was perfect since they eat a lot of pasta ( Read more... )

i completely agree with you. i probably use more than 1/2 tsp of nutmeg, and i usually add some parsley as well. ricotta cheese, however doesn't have much taste, so the consistency is really what needs to "fool" omnis. i don't have a food processor either, so i just crumble it as well. :B

WORD. I also completely agree with everything you said. Unseasoned/raw tofu is something that takes awhile to get used to, if one ever does...

ah, i actually love cubes of cold extra firm tofu in big salads haha. but i definitely have an issue with overly bland tofu- idk if you've been to boloco, but i've written to them about their unpressed, mild, baked slabs of soggy soy. they never responded :/

tofu is such an unsung hero in the omni world!

it is, if only cooks would stop being so damn silly with it though!

it would really catch on if people cooked with it, like they cooked with everything else.
