That looks and sounds delicious! And the photo-story is such a neat idea, you're a genius!
Do you know if lima beans are the same thing as butter beans? I know butter beans have another name in some places, but I can't remember what it is. They look like butter beans, but was just wondering. (I'm from the UK if that's any help)
There should be an online glossary of international food terms - like the peppers/bell peppers/capsicum issue. I'm sure there must be one somewhere. Anyone got a link?
Thanks! In my attempt to answer your question, I found the following quote:
"So I'm at the grocery store re-supplying my Slim Jims and 3 musketeers, when I came up to the vegetable aisle. Not being at all familiar with it and feeling just a little Indiana Jonesy, I decided to saunter down. Not much to catch my attention until...What do I spy with my little eye? Butter Beans! At least one ingredient I might like. Well, don't let the name fool you. LIMA BEANS! That's what they are! Friggin' Lima Beans. Don't worry, I set charges at both ends to seal the aisle forever. If I can save just one person...." --Random Blog
My dad found a better link for you, though:
"Often referred to in some southern states in the U.S. as "butter beans," lima beans date back to 5,000 BC along the coastal regions of South America."--Lima Beans
Still looking for an all-emcompassing glossary, though!

Yeah, I originally called it Thai-style Stew, just simply because the sauce is a curry base I'd used for something else.

I love the combination of the sweet coconut milk and the habaneros.
