Soy Chicken, TVP, and Soy Cheese

How come at whole foods, I can never find Morningstar brand fake chicken? Ive heard about the "Chickettes" and strips, and what not, and Id like to use them for chicken cheesesteaks and things. What section would they be in ( Read more... )

substitutes-dairy-cheese, -where do they sell this stuff?, tvp (textured vegetable protein), -convenience foods/packaged foods

because whole foods tries to stock only WHOLE FOODS, ie. natural things. morningstar farms is chemical, processed garbage.

whole foods stocks moringstar farms as well as a lot of other chemical, processed foods

huh, not the ones by me. and i'm really surprised they would elsewhere! there whole emphasis is on healthy, organic, whole foods, hence their name - but i guess it varies by region. *shrug*

I'm with you on this... I've never seen anything unpronounceable on the packages at Whole Foods.

It does vary somewhat by region. They're getting to be pretty bad about some things because they're more interested in following the money than their business model. When they opened up a big store here in Providence, it started out very health oriented, but now it is far, far more "foodie" oriented. Ce le vie. At least there are two stores in this city, and the little one does a better job of stocking things I actually need. I just hope the local co-op gets a storefront soon, so I will actually be able to participate.

agreed. I see plenty of health junk food at Whole Foods.
