oh yeah?
i've been bad about updating recently. bad about replying. bad about emails. bad about housework...keeping up w/bills on time...etc etc etc.
what have i been doing? ??? gotten together about 9 bags of clothes and one bag of children's books for the hurricane folks. put my name on a list for people willing to take in animals from the storm also.
j's sister was just in town sun/mon for a quick visit. always nice to have relatives around for a quick visit. otto had a blast w/auntie.
today i did manage to get all the laundry down on the laundry table put away. gotten two loads washed -- including a load of vi's diapers. whew! got the huge sink load of dishes washed. cleaned out some nasty food from the fridge. dumped some food scraps into the worm bin.
managed to cook up (utilize) some big-time leftovers for dinner--sort of a fried rice thing--threw in some leftover tofu scramble, garlic, green bell pepper, scallions, crimini mushrooms, regular mushrooms, bragg's, some of otto's noodles from his dinner and threw in some fresh chopped yellow tomato at the end. it's actually very tasty--not that jason will be excited to see that for his dinner--but i love when i can utilize a bunch of leftovers and it actually turns out super yummy! i mean it's got some super flavor goin' on!
nothin' doing on my adoption search. absolutely nothin'. i guess it must not be the right time in my life or it would be working out.
my brother always seems to call me in the morning w/song lyrics from the 80's that he wants to know who the artist is. last time it was the human league. today it was an erasure song. too funny. he's a funny guy that chris. love him to death. but that's really all he ever calls me about!
well--so much for too much updating--violet's crying. she is cutting her two top teeth--they've broken the skin, but aren't all the way through yet. poor baby.
her nickname this week has moved from "pig" to "butter".
