have you lost any weight since becoming a vegan? body fat can make a difference.
or maybe with less garbage sitting there in your guts undigested, you process the alcohol quicker.
it could also be a psychosomatic reaction, your body wants to be healthy so it's basically saying "Nope, don't want none of this stuff".

i was never a big fan of drinking, i never liked the way it made me feel, and I'm going to need my brain cells for the next 50+ years, might as well take care of them.

I actually haven't - same weight, I've just gotten more healthier/toned (doing yoga helps!)

I can't imagine a vegan diet having such a profound effect on your tolerance. I'm tempted to say you should go and get a MOT at your doctors as it seems very unusual indeed to be so ill from so little.

Sorry this is slight OT, but could someone tell me the consensus here on whether alcohol is vegan?
It doesn't matter to me as I'm not interested in drinking alcohol, but some of my friends [who shouldn't be drinking as they haven't turned 18 yet ;D] and I were having a conversation and they said it was vegetarian, but I said that even if the final product doesn't contain any animal products that fact that it's been filtered or refined using them would make it not so?
But I guess it would depend on your reasons and how strict you are.

Go here: www.barnivore.com

It explains the filtration process of alcohol, and has a good list of which brands are and aren't vegan.

Ah! Thanks a lot :D
I'd imagined there'd be a list like that out there somewhere.
