Dear non-vegans who love to comment negatively, please can you come up with some new excuses because these are just getting so old and tired.. Or better yet, how about considering the victims before you make these kind of crass comments. The animals that are exploited, used, and killed for food, clothing, entertainment etc. are sentient beings with complex mental abilities, intelligence and emotions and they deserve moral consideration just as much as we do. Why choose to take part in their suffering when there are alternatives available? As George Bernard Shaw said many years ago: "If a group of beings from another planet were to land on Earth - beings who considered themselves as superior to you as you feel yourself to be to other animals - would you concede them the rights over you that you assume over other animals?"
For 2014 why not drop the excuses and really find out what this vegan thing is all about.. It's never been easier! Lots of organisations provide free advice and support. Here are just some of the ones who offer free pledge schemes or vegan
