What's been up ...Doc??? (not quite it but close enough)
Thursday night I stayed up studying for a Physics exam. Fun, I know.
Friday I took the exam, I have yet to find out how well I did, so it's up in the air. After class I went to work and ground salt samples for 3 hours! I was going to go down to Phoenix but I opted out because I didn't want to stay the whole weekend. I told myself if I find a ride down Saturday great, if not oh well. That night Lizzy and I visited our friend Paul. His girlfriend Rachael was there as well as his room mate Robbie and a friend/band mate Brian (?). We were all sitting quite subdued, Paul playing the guitar and Brian singing (he sounded really good). I was almost brought to tears...more than just tears I about balled. I was way emotional and the acoustic guitar (especially accompanied by singing) always reminds me of John. After chit-chatting for a bit I found out that Paul was going to Phoenix Saturday so I planned on hitching a ride with him. After our escapade there, Lizzy and I went to New Frontiers for dinner and gorged ourselves. In the evening time Lizzy, Laura, Andrew and I went over to Andrew's friends where people were partaking in the the par usual college activity- drinking! Laura and I were drinking wine, oh that's right we're classy, wine in our plastic cups. Unfortunately lizzy wasn't feeling so up to par (hehe lots of pars) and I decided to go back with her.
In the morning I awoke anxious for the evenings activity. I straightened my room, looked at the clock, and thought it good to go to the Bean. I got a coffee and a bagel with hummus To Go, came back to my room gobbled that up and got ready to leave. Twelve thirty was my departure time. I waited outside reading a book when Paul came to get me. With some delay of going back to his apartment and waiting for Robbie we started our beautiful drive down to the ugliness of phoenix. Once at home I ate and took a nap. I'm exciting I know, I'm sure my 'rents were happy to see me...Not! I woke up called my friend Steve and soon enough we were heading toward Tempe. In the car ride I wasn't so excited, but once we reached our destination I was pumped and full of energy. Which I let flow through me in the form of skanking (oh yeah!-if you don't know what that is don't think nasty thoughts, it's a form of dancing typically to ska muzak). I ran into Erynne and her bro, Oz and Ron, and Steve saw a few of his friends as well. By the way I went to a show- Ska is Dead III. The best was the Toasters and Mustard Plug. I freakin' danced like mad, I was all over the place and when I needed a break I visited Ron up in the very front! Quite exhausted, we left after the show was all finished and headed to the normal place you go late at night....Denny's.
The next day was no way no how entertaining. I had to find a ride and didn't know where to look. I tried my one friend - he wasn't answering. Then I thought of Ron, but damn it I didn't have his number....But I did know where he worked. I swung by his place of work, left a note and hoped he'd call. Sure enough he did. I didn't leave phoenix till 9 at night, which totally sucked. At least I had a ride.
Up here in Flag it's been pretty much the same ole- school and hanging out with Lizzy. However it did rain yesterday (Tuesday) which I didn't enjoy. I had to ride my bike to South Campus in the pouring rain and of course my ass got soaked. Today the sight of that beautiful mountain covered in snow was totally worth the day of rain. Ahh snow.....I don't know if I ready.
