(no subject)
Have I really been in California a whole year? Craziness... sometimes it feels like I just got here, other times like I've been here for friggin ever. Guess that's how it goes.
I finally got up the courage to ask my crush-boy out... just today, actually, lol. Uh, yeah, he turned me down flat. That seems to happen a lot. Doesn't mean it doesn't sting each time though. But you know what? I can handle it. I know just a year and a half ago such a flat out rejection would have thrown me into a tail-spin of angst. Today I was down for a few minutes, but then I set my shoulders, put on the 'I LOOK GOOD!' song, got dressed up, and went to a coworker's birthday party at a club in the city. So there. :D
Guitar lessons, acting classes... I've been trying to make changes so I'm not that same depressed, self-loathing feral cat I was in CS. Cuz that sucked, and I most definitely do NOT want to be that way anymore. I feel like I want to be on stage again, and I haven't had that urge in years. It feels good. :)
I also haven't posted in ages, but I also haven't really been writing all that much. That's a shame, and also something I need to change.
Uh, something happy, something happy... Oh! I finally saw Pearl Jam! They are amazing, extraordinary! J, L, M, and B were all there, but having B there with me made it all the more special. We bonded over Pearl Jam more than 16 years ago. That makes me old, but I don't care :D
