.3.5yo saying/doing hateful things

im assuming he will grow out of it, but currently my 3.5yo has been saying things like "marcus is a bad baby." or putting up his fists or making gun fingers when i tell him no

I've gone through this as I have 3 (10, 6 and 5 yo) at home. They all have their own little ways of testing the limits, and it sound like you're little guy is doing just that...and hey, it's better than marking his territory. Sound like you have a new addition too, that's and adjustment. I'm only speaking from personal experience, here, as I'm no professional, but that seems like all it is.

My 6 yo likes to feel entitled as she is the only girl in a house with 1 man and 2 boys. It's tough to knock her down a peg cause she's so darned cute and I am happily wrapped around her finger, but sometimes I just walk away and ignore her. Then when she wants something I tell her "no, cause you don't respect me and do as you're told". She throws a littl fit, but she does what she's told. Disappointment is our most potent weapon. Mad doesn't seem to phase them as much as disappointment.

Fun stuff...but that means he's making his mark too. He was cool when he just slept, ate and pooped, but now he's becoming a little person too. Might be hogging a lot of attention from your 3.5yo's perspective.

I'm constantly wrestling with good/bad attention from all 3. And they all have their own little ways of grabbing it. I'm so dumb I don't always catch on that that is all it is.

3 sucks. That's all I've got. Rylie was obnoxious at that age.

Lots of deep breaths, screaming into a pillow, going into a room alone and throwing things? And knowing that it will pass, really it will?
