I can't see Draco ever being the same person. I think he more than the other major characters will walk away from the seventh book damaged by his experiences with a lot to work through.
Perhaps my most contraversial opinion is that I think he will in time have to work through guilt and shame over it all. From his aunt's words we can see that he's been made to feel ashamed of the compassion that he feels for the victims in his house, to see it as weak at the same times he does feel pity for the victims and horror at the perpetrators. I think he might feel guilt over his actions and shame over the guilt at the same time. That is mental conflict.
I really can't see him being the same shallow immature bully that we see in the early books. How he works through these things is open to question though. I see him as embracing the guilt and moving forward in a constructive way. (This doesn't mean that he isn't himself. He doesn't become a second Remus Lupin either.)
First I think there always remains a little childish self-involvement and self-importance in him.
