The action stuff mostly just made me cackle in brain-turned-off glee, but they lumbered in about the same ways some of the Last Crusade bits did, too. Formulaic. Depressingly so.

And you make very good points. It makes me wonder why people like Lucas etc don't have any insight about how simple a different choice would have been. Still enjoyed seeeing Indy again, and his hat. But oh my, the way humans go through the day with gigantic blind spots worries me a bit.
