Here's what happened when they decided to cut loose.
Yesterday had to be one of the most amazing and adventure filled days... Carla and I both had off work (pretty sure this was a first the entire summer, not counting the weekened we requested off for the beach).
We had gone out Monday night, and had gone out, so the morning was sort of rough because we didnt get to spend it with each other... and when i had called her to let her know i had gotten in and was going to come over in the morning... i left a message on her phone... and as she was picking it up, i was finishing my message and hung up. She thought i hung up on her on purpous... so she was kinda cold when i pulled up in the morning.
Once we got that all explained, we headed to Beech Creek to a bed and breakfast place for lunch. It was some really good food, and some nice, caffinated coffee to get me going again.
Then we stopped in at Walmart for a few minutes, and then headed over to Sloan to check out her studio. She is a jewelry design major, and so she showed me all of the stuff that she had done in the past, including a lot of pretty cool pottery.
After that we drove across the river, and went past the train bridge, and just kept driving until we came to the State Game lands.... went for a nice walk up into the woods, and saw about 3 huge creepy spiders. She almost sat down on one as she was climbing down near the creek.
We came back and made dinner for ourselves and her new roomie and her boyfriend. (The new roomie is worthy of a seperate post... look for that story later)
It was nice because it was the first time we had all sat down together since she moved in a few days ago. We had BBQ sandwiches, made mashed potatos, mixed veggies, and cornbread muffins... quite the feast compared to the ham sandwiches or chicken nuggets we have been making.
Then we just chillaxed for a while and laughed a lot.
It was a very refreshing day. Sorry for this boring post... just figured I would write it all down to see if I could remember everythign that we covered in one day...
