origin

Something drew her about the water. She enjoyed the color blue, in all of its variants, the way she felt in water, the way it calmed and soothed her nerves. But she could not explain the fear inside her, when in the origin, the ocean. Although she never ventured too far from the surf, the pull of the tide felt great. It was calling to her, drawing her further in with every ebb. When at the beach with friends, she noticed how they held their backs to the ocean, without a worry of the impending tide and growing waves. But she could not ignore how the ocean had thrown her once, and she would not let that happen again. The ocean was the only place on earth she knew that once could struggle for life in only four feet of water. Her fear took over the best of her, and she never went too far deep again.

Once out of the water though, she immediately longed to be back in the ocean again, to feel life swimming around her.
