Come to Queen’s Park this Wednesday
to show your support for legislation that will
stop tuition fees from increasing next September
THE BACKGROUND :
While speaking at Carleton University on September 30, 2005, Ontario Premier Dalton McGuinty announced his intention to increase tuition fees next September. This Wednesday afternoon, Ontario NDP Education Critic Rosario Marchese will be presenting legislation that would freeze tuition fees until the next provincial election. We can get the tuition fee freeze extended the same way we won the fee freeze in the first place: by pressuring Premier Dalton McGuinty’s to do the right thing.
HOW YOU CAN HELP
Join students from U of T, Ryerson, York, George Brown, and Glendon this Wednesday afternoon in the gallery at Queen’s Park to support this legislation. Help to represent students all across Ontario who can’t afford to have their tuition fees increase in September and send a clear message to the Ontario government that the tuition fee freeze should be extended.
WHEN?
Wednesday, October 26, 2005 - 12:30 pm
(It is expected that the bill will be read around 1:30 pm. We’re meeting at 12:30 pm because it will take time for everyone to get processed by security.)
WHERE?
Queen’s Park Meet at the main entrance to the Legislature Building
