Cool much appriciated. More universal awareness for this stuff is necessary, not just what situations cause it, or the chemical causes of it, but the actually entire situation that is in each case. Like someone gets raped, they tell the police, the police dont seem to do anythin' which then makes a very bad situation worse - because then the victem feels like it was their fault, that they aren't worth the cops time to do what THEY the COPS are supposed to do.... Which makes what woulda been a bad case of PTSD into a hellish one that haunts the person for decades, affecting their eating patterns, self esteem, sexual abilities, emotional distance, forms of destructive behavior so on and so on and so on.... so yeah... More needs to be acknowledged about it - and how many ppl have it, how to help them live with it and hopefully make it ... ease. What this story has wrong though is that the PTSD never fully leaves you. The memory of that horrfyin' experience is with you always, but it can grow to affect you differently than it did in the beginin'. You can heal yeah sure but that scar's gonna always be there. *hugs* Thanks again Val
