Well upon the encouragement of those who have gotten lj's recently and seem to be quite addicted to them, I've finally made one! To be fair I'm still a bit reluctant about this whole idea, due to my theory that my life isn't interesting enough to post about, but here goes nothing I suppose! Where...to start...?
Well this "new year" has so far been rather hectic, with coming back to school being the equivalent of running smack into a brick wall...my bio test this week that can be described that way too. I thought I had at least scraped it together to pass, but as I was leaving class Dr.A said "WHAT HAPPENED to your multiple choice section!!" So there goes all hopes of a pass! Woo! Should've dropped it when the chance was still there, but hindsight is 20/20 I guess.
What else...well there was the first on-snow cross-country ski team practice earlier this week! Janis and I were uhm...a tad slower than the rest of the team...but I think we did pretty well all considering! We were standing there while the coach tried to explain something to us, and this guy on the team made it around the (400m) track before she was even done her sentence - needless to say I was extremely impressed (and frightened). Thank god that Janis joined the team too though, I don't feel quite so hopeless about it now!
This whole semester has flown by (corny expression, but fairly accurate nonetheless), and exams seem to be sneaking up fairly soon. Should be interesting, as well as the data test and bio test coming up next week. University applications are also due on wednesday, which is pretty exciting! I've been telling myself that I just need to make it through these next few months, and then school will be over...but really it just means that it'll be into another school, for however many years more of school. Interesting. I'm beginning to think I'll miss NHS more than previously expected...it's got it's downfalls, but the people are fairly impressive! Case in point, seeing everyone who got into organizing help for the tsunami fund. It just seems weird to think of every person being somewhere else next year. Weird, weird, weird.
Well that's about it...I hope everyone's had a good first week back at school, or have been enjoying their longer breaks from university!
