My favourite teen flick definitly is "the Breakfast club".
I love the classic teen movies of the 80's,and i think we all agree that "Ferris Bueller's day of is love! :D I watch over and over again and it never gets boring,is always as cool (and fun)! Is an irreaplaceble movie! Save Ferris forever! :D \o/
Otherwise,no movie caught me like "the Breakfast club".It's not only my favourite teen movie, but one of my favourite movies of all time.I tell the reason why: It talks about the fact that, the teenagers are labeled and misunderstood by the adults, treated like they were all the similar, having their particular dreams and ideas ignored. And the saddest part is,the teenagers put themselves in those stereotypes,so they can fit in a group,or don't have to think much about they're personalities and who they really are. That issue is fascinating to me,cause it never gets old.I dare to say teenagers will always have that problem.I fell in love with the movie when i first saw, cause kind of says what i've always (especially at that time) wanted to scream to the world: Teenagers are so misunderstood by the society and bad represented by the entertainement industry.Mostly of the teen movies pass the idea that everything in that age is about sex, having fun, celebrating, and the worst part: Everyone have the same problems! And also,or you're popular,or you're a nerd.So "the Breakfast" is such a smart, deep, wonderfull movie that totally tries to break that crap.It proofs that teen movies can be smart and deep when made by the right writters/producers.If you're a teenager, you should see it,cause you'll probably love it.And if you're an adult, you'll remember that confusing, frustrating time of your life. Not to mention the theme song:"Don't you forget about me",which is wonderful and suits perfectly to that bittersweet age,in wich we're trying to find out who we are, figure out our place in this world and shout out to everyone. : )
R.I.P John Hughes,your work is timeless. : )
And the brat pack lives! \o/ LOL. : )
