Rain is... evil
I know I live in Washington so I should be used to the rain, right? Well today was an interesting experience...
Usually the rain falls a little at a time over the whole day... mostly drizzles... that's how new york has a greater total # of inches of rain per year but seattle still has the most days of rain... today was unusual though... EVERYWHERE was raining quite hard... pouring really....
Then I was driving down to Portland to see two great friends... well that's 180 miles away... and only 40 miles of that or so didn't have rain...
If you haven't ever driven in the pouring hard rain, I would not recommend it, especially not at 80mph (the speed limit was 70, don't flip out!)... it's hard to see... anything... thankfully I could see the lines just well enough and the brake lights in front of me... but the trip definitely took an extra hour *sigh* Oh well, it's worth it!
