I'm taking a stand

I complained in my last entry about my company's new policies. Well, I'm taking a stand and not signing some of the documents agreeing to the new changes. First, I'm against random drug testing - it's an invasion of privacy and just plain stupid (and as one of my co-workers put it, 'what is this, Wal-mart?'). I'm also fighting the new vacation/sick policy. Currently if you work 20 hours or more a week, you get PTO - with the new plan, one has to work at least 30, so many people are going to get screwed over (including one of my co-workers). I work so little it doesn't affect me, but before I left in April I was still earning PTO despite my three hours a week. Not I just get a paycheck.

We'll see what happens. Hopefully management will 'overlook' some things, but I'm not sure what I'd do if it came down to signing versus keeping my job. Yes, its the principle of the thing.
