Is this preparation for parenthood?
Max, my cat, freaked me about two weeks ago when I came home from running errands and found him with a bloody back paw - the one he uses to scratch his left ear. I wasn't too worried since he seemed to be fine and the vet had cleaned out a lot of gunk during his last appointment. He left the ear alone for a little while, but I noticed earlier this week he was still scratching and there was a lot of gunk still around the ear, so I broke down this morning and called the vet for an appointment. Well, apparently he has a tumor/polyp he scratched raw which is now infected, so Max gets a two week course of antibiotics - amoxicillin to be exact (what I was on for all my ear infections until I developed any allergy to it). My vet also gave me a hard time because he lost a couple ounces. I commented that he wouldn't eat the special diet stuff for kidney problems, so he was still on regular cat food (and found out they will give me a refund for the food I bought). It hurts, but I'm still going for quality of life over quantity. Still it makes me wonder if I am ready for kids.
