I really enjoyed Truth. It is without a doubt one of my 3 favorite episodes.

The writing was good, the cast was on and we finally get a FOTW premise that is actually a clever plot device for the larger story arc.

Why can Clark forgive Chloe but not Lex? Someone please explain this to me because I just don't get it.

I actually did give my reading of why that is in my LJ.

And I totally agree that the Chloe/Lana scene was awesome. Really, every scene (well, except I guess Clark visiting the army guy) worked really well for me. Truth was very tightly written.

I also feel like there was a hint (perhaps cut from original script?) that the formula affected Chloe's behavior in addition to giving her the ability to get the truth. She was fickle in this ep. The real Chloe wouldn't go after Clark's secret like that. Remember how she protected Clark when he went to Metropolis and how she told Lionel off? She wants the truth, but has scruples. We know the chem affected her physically - enough to kill her. And I think it definitely altered her behavior.

You're right. I can see her aggressively going after other people's secrets but not Clark's. Its a line that she wouldn't cross, no matter how curious, if she were completely herself. =)

I agree about Clark's character. I pretty much think he's an asshole all the time.

Poor Clark. He's lost a lot of people's sympathy lately. Lex, on the other hand, we all want to take home and pamper.
