Yes.
It was confirmed after my colonoscopy this past Friday. I don't remember any of it except the sedation which is exactly what the doctor said would happen. Morphine and Valium are the shit.
On the down side, the last thing I remember the doctor telling me was, "Here's a cold, wet finger." Soooo yeah.
Things are slightly better though. I'm feeling sorta alright. My stomach doesn't constantly hurt anymore and I'm on a corticosteroid called Prednisone until September. I take 8 pills a day at the moment, but that will decrease as the weeks pass by until I run out around the 13th or 14th of Sept. After that I'll be put on something more suitable for the long term control of the disease.
The only downside is getting used to the drug itself. I started taking it on Saturday and didn't sleep at all that night due to the nature of the drug. I'd almost get to sleep then jolt upright in bed for no apparent reason. I got some sleep last night I think. There are parts of the night I don't remember so I assume I passed out at some point.
It has made me restless and I fidget when I sit still watching tv or a movie. The doctor also said I'd have an increased appetite, which is true, and a good thing. I need to pack the pounds back on.
Bleh.. here's to pills!
