WOW! Long time no update. Sense vacation, things have been a bit wild around my part of the world. I stopped doing contests for awhile and am just now in the first two I have been in for a long time. I only tried one contest when we got back from vacation and I am just now in two since then. It has been about three months. This will be a long post with lots of pics, so I'll post it behind a cut.
First - vacation: We had a WONDERFUL time. Springfield is a beautiful and friendly city, I kind of wish we would have spent more time there. Branson, SUCKED! I will not be going back there any time soon. Don't get me wrong, the people were really nice, there was lots to do (IF you have the money) and we didn't have a BAD time, but the roads are AWFUL! I have never seen a city with such a bad layout. We could have skipped this part of the trip and wouldn't have missed much, but Ripley's was UBER cool. We were in the museum for over three hours. St. Louis was amazing. The zoo was just.. wow! Our hotel was really nice, and the pool/atrium was incredible. We all went up in the arch. Geo and DJ didn't stay up there long, but the girls and I did. I love the view. From St. Louis we headed for Virginia! The drive was long, but the scenery was AMAZING. We drove until three in the morning and we just had to stop, we were only about four hours from our final destination, but it was just too much. I really don't even remember what that hotel looked like, only that we payed WAY too much for staying there for only 5 hours. We actually stayed in Williamsburg, not to far from Busch Gardens. Beautiful hotel. Once we got there and got checked in, we suited up and headed for Virginia Beach. None of us had ever seen the ocean, so we headed straight there. After not being able to FIND the beach (husbands shouldn't try to drive and navigate) when we finally got there we had a ball. I LOVED the ocean, and amazingly so did Nroh who has a complete fear of sharks. Kerya was impressed, but not fond of the ocean it self. Geo... well, he isn't one for swimming where he can't see the bottom, and DJ, he is just DJ and has a good time where ever he is. We played on the beach for a few hours, then made the trek back to Williamsburg, wet, and with sand in places you would never figure it would get. Oh yea, and with me having a tore up knee. I fought the ocean and the ocean won. *LOL* The next day was the Projekt Revolution tour! OMG, the music, the fans, the amazing clothes! MSI does an amazing show, as does MCR. HIM is good live, but they need to fire their sound tech. The next three days were spent at Busch Gardens! WOOT, roller coasters, water rides and expensive but really good food. We had a blast. DJ got to ride his first coaster. He is still a bit shaky about the big ones, but give him a year or two and he will be riding them right along with his sisters and mom. Yea, we are all a bunch of adrenaline junkies. We made the trip home in one shot. Oh we stopped along the way to stretch, eat and switch drivers, but no hotel this time. Drove all day and all night and got home about ten only to find that our house was infested with fleas! *groan* So it was out again to a hotel in St. Joe for the night while we bug bombed it. Sleep, that was the order of the day, and we did a whole lot of it. Then it was home to finish decompressing before the kids went to school and Geo and I went back to work. We had a great time and hopefully will be heading back out to Virginia next year!
And NOW - Sims Stuff!: Ok like I said, I am just now in my first two contests in three months. Updates on old contests.... D.J. Summers from Mr. Teen USA got lost due to vacation. I don't think he was doing well anyway, my mind was on vacation, not the contest.
D.J. Spam
The last contest I was in before my current two was
Mr. InSIMenator My entry was Damian West
I only made it to round two. But I'll share a couple more pics.
I think he is sexy as hell, but the judges didn't agree.
Now - the two contests I am in right now: The first contest is
Creature Feature My entry is Herne Panthion a satyr.
So far I have gone two rounds with him and he is still in the contest.
My other contest is something kind of different for me, not sims this time, but a house.
The contest is called
~By Design~ The restyle madness! Basicly we got a set of plans for a house, we had to build it, then each round we redo the outside of the house without changing the basic structure into the chosen style. It has been a learning experience so far.
This is a picture of the original plans
This was my entry
The first round was to change the house to a farm house.
Front yard
Back Yard
The next round was to change the house into a modern structure
Front Yard
Back Yard A Zen Garden.
I'm still in this one too, but again I don't think I am doing so well, the competition is amazing.
So that is what I have been up to, oh yea and we are working on our Halloween decorations. Busy busy busy!
